Development sets job market trend

The pattern of development adopted in the Gulf countries is the focus of all negative and positive developments in the labor market, said Saqr Ghobash, Minister of Labor and Chairman of the National Media Council.
He warned that unless faults in the current development pattern are fixed, the challenges posed by nationalization of the GCC labor market would always be questioned.
The Minister's remarks came in a research paper he presented at the 15th Annual Conference of the Emirates Center for Strategic Studies and Research (ECSSR). The three-day conference titled, "Education and the Requirements of the GCC Labour Market", started on Monday.
