To lure more Emiratis to private sector jobs, the UAE government has drafted a bill that will offer nationals the same privileges in the private sector that they enjoy in government jobs, Khaleej Times reported on Thursday, citing the country's labour minister.
Benefits in the public sector include a cost of living allowance and an allowance for children.
Gobash said the Emiratisation rate in private companies had dropped to 0.4 percent. In Bahrain, Saudi and Oman the rate is 20 percent, 13.3 percent and 14.4 percent, the newspaper reported, adding that it is 0.6 percent in Qatar.
